The Power of Positive Thinking

One of the crucial secrets in bringing out your best is by the power of positive thinking. In this chapter, we are going to be considering a very crucial aspect of life known as the power of positive thinking.  What you think you are, and where you think you can ever reach in life is affected by your mentality. Positive thinking by and large equates having the right mentality at all times in every situation.
Power-positive-thinking

How does the right mentality affect identity?

It is important to note that identity and mentality affect reality, life changes only when your daily mentality changes. Your life is stagnated until your mentality changes.  It takes the hammer of positive thinking and the right mentality to drive the nail of success.

Your living and value is affected by your thinking; the level of your mentality affects the level of your performance in life.

And there we saw the giants; the sons of Anak, which come of the giants, and so we were in their sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight (Numbers 13: 33.)
The way you see your problems, limitations, afflictions is the same way they see you.  The way you see poverty is the same way poverty sees you.  You cannot have the mentality of poverty and have the destiny of riches, you cannot have the mentality of a grasshopper and have the destiny of giant; likewise, you cannot have the mentality of fowls and operate in the realms of eagles.

“For as he thinketh in his hearth so is he” (Proverbs 23:7)
The reason for poverty is because people think they are poor, your mentality affects your reality.  Imagine this: a woman going to sit for an interview with the mindset of failure has set her mind to even before sitting for the interview.   Hear this, until your inwardness changes the lookwardity of your situation; that determine the itiveness of your destiny (your mindset is what solidifies your making).

Know this: A sheep led by a lion will defeat a lion led by a sheep, why? The lionic mentality de-sheepify the sheep, the sheep has become a lion in mentality.
John L. Mason said something I will never forget, he said to think big is to live big. He added to associate higher is the link to greatness. My beloved when your mentality changes your situation that shows the qualitativeness of your destiny, if God is your partner make your plans big, enlarge your mentality, engrain the power of positive thinking in your fabric and start living big.

In reality, who a person is or what a person is; is the product of the power of positive thinking. People of God are automobile thinkers, people of elastic mentality, and high tenacity in thinking capacity. The power of positive thinking gives you the courage and confidence to face life challenges and fulfil destiny

And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air, and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them and what so ever Adam called every creature that was the name thereof. (Geneses 2:19)

I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think (Socrates)
God did not teach Adam how to name animals; he only diffused thinking hormones in him. Prosperity is in your ability to think positively, Success is in your ability to think. Think your way out of poverty and failure. You can never have a revolution in order to establish mentality; you must have a mentality in order to have a revolution. I learn that great dreams are established by great thinkers, that is to say, your mentality backup you’re your dreams and sharpens your realities.

Immaturity is the inability to have a positive mentality, positive mentality provokes positive action and commands positive result, likewise, negative mentality, provokes negative action and negative actions command negative result. Dare to be yourself

Give me a place to stand and I will move the earth by the power of positive thinking.  Let him that would move the world first move his mentality.
In conclusion, your self growth is tied to the power of positive thinking and the right mentality.

Dare To Be Yourself

Being yourself is the prettiest thing a person can. Stop trying to fit in, when you have a lot of potentials embedded in you to fulfil your dreams. Being yourself is being true to your potentials. For a good number of years or so of my life, I wanted to be Dr Paul Enenche, the bestselling author of the destiny project. He is a keynote speaker at prestigious conferences around the world and the founder of Dunamis Gospel Centre.

Being Youself

I wanted to be Paul for all the obvious reasons. A graduate of medicine, he is incredibly bright and ambitious. A renowned preacher with overseeing one of the largest congregations in Africa.  But there was more, I wanted to swap his message; no his everything – for mine, I was sick of being myself.

As time wore on, I came to the point of realisation and understanding that nothing is important, meaningful, or beautiful, interesting or great, ever came out of imitation because Paul Enenche’s universe is radically different from my world, our deposit is different that mean our very nature and identity are also different. What is hard and amazing is giving up on being others and beginning the world of being yourself (becoming you).

 Being Yourself

being yourself

As simple as how to be yourself seems, it isn’t so simple to those of us who have different expression and interpretation of what works and what doesn’t. What looks like authenticity may actually be the opposite, because we are living in a world where we over value who we are not and undervalue who we are. Being yourself would, in the long run, add value to your life as a person

Until you learn the basic fundamental of being yourself, applying who you are, accomplishments and life satisfaction becomes ephemeral. You need to come to a point in your life where you need to stop and ask yourself “who am I?” I often ask myself why people are struggling with authentically being themselves. Could it be peer pressure, parental pressure, political or religious pressure to be something that we are truly not? Or could it be about a past feeling of rejection that may consequently leave us feeling irrelevant?

Maybe we feel like we won’t be accepted unless we replicate what already seems to work for others? Perhaps we have never taken the time to consider who we truly are. What makes us tick, what brings us joy, what gives us purpose, peace and a sense of completeness in how we live our lives? We are bombarded with suggestions from every angle implying what we should find identity in. which clothes to wear, what car to drive and what music to listen to, but at the end of the day, we must look at this person in the mirror as asked who am I?

There is only one you. No one else has your thumbprint, you are truly unique regardless if you realise it or not.  Even if you have a twin you are still distinct because you have different personalities.

Diversity is what makes this world so interesting, imagine if everyone looked the same, dress the same, talk with the same accent and had all of the exact same interest and desires, what if there was no Mexican, Chinese, Alien, how dull and boring would that be, all blacks and Nigerian!  Hah …..
You may not look good, nor do the best in your class or in your school, office or organisation, however, there is and I am convinced there one thing you are genuinely good and comfortable at. Being yourself in all that you do is a first step to discovering your potentials.
Thus following the step of a giant makes a giant and not taking it identity.
Your uniqueness is what set you apart from everyone else. It makes you distinguishable amongst the crowd. Don’t blend in, stand out. Be peculiar and build up the courage to be yourself. Don’t be a clone or a carbon copy of someone else, just because it worked for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you. Dare to be yourself and remember this ‘‘it’s better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who are not’’ if you are yourself then you are your best (David Oyedep0).

If you must succeed in life and destiny you must learn how to be yourself because that is when you are at your best. The way you see yourself today will affect your performance in life and destiny. Joseph knew it is time to stand out and become outstanding. Remember you are a mirror to your world (Matt. 4:14). We cannot reach our destiny by taking another man’s destination, so don’t define yourself by people’s opinion. You are what God says you are (1 john 4:4) Jesus is Lord.

·        You cannot fulfil destiny if you are not yourself.
·        If you are struggling to be like others, the best you can become is number two (John Mason)
·       Where everybody is sitting, stand, when everybody is standing, stand out, when everybody is standing out, Outstand and become a standard (Paul Enenche).
·        Don’t define yourself by people’s opinion.

Being yourself at everything you do, drawing in from the inert potentials that are within will make you leave happier and enjoy your days. It is wiser to be spend discovering ways to develop the real you than spending hours trying to imitate others. You are the best when you are yourself.

Please, share with your loved ones. I would be here to respond to your comments, so do well to post a comment before you leave. See you soon.

A Man Without a Dream Is a Man Without Value

You need a dream to backup your existence on earth. Nothing great was even created without a dream.  What you do not see you cannot seize, and what you do not picture you cannot capture.
Gen 37: 5 - 9
Verse 5: ...and Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren.
Verse 9: And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, behold, I have dreamed a dream more, and behold the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

man with wisdom

You need a dream to backup your existence on earth. Nothing great was even created without a dream Says Dr Paul Enenche, Snr. Pastor at Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Nigeria. What you do not see you cannot seize, and what you do not picture you cannot capture.

Your dream today determines your future tomorrow. Dream fuels destiny. Your portion on earth and eternity is base on your dream, Joseph saw himself fulfilling destiny and nation bowing down to him at the mercies of his dreams.

You can never go beyond your view, you can never move beyond your sight. Click to tweet
How far you can see determine how far you can go.

The quality of your dream determines the quality of your life and destiny.
No man is qualified to live if he has no dream for a living. To live without a dream is living a life of no value.- (Martins Francis) Click to tweet this quote
Imagine a boy wanting to become a medical doctor and has no dream of going to school, or a man working and have nothing to show for, it because he has no dream of setting up something for himself. What a mockery. No dream no future!

Dr David Oyedepo said, “If you leave your life to chance you stand to have no chance”. Why because big dream is full of purposes, and no dream is full of wishes, to dream big is to live big.

As a little boy, I liked to dream big, I remember spending  countless hours in my basement pretending I was a great preacher on my make belief stage. There I’d be belting out messages after messages from a collection of anointed men of God.

Truthfully I never really did preach as much as I bounced around like other preachers of the Word I saw on television, yet I still believed there was always a chance that one day I’d be preaching with the best of them, well puberty fixed that for me.

I have come to realise whether you’re a kid or an adult, there’s never really a shortage of big dreams in this world.  What’s the harm for the young ball player to dream that one day he’ll hit the most of the major league?

A Baseball player or the high school actress who fantasises about having her name on broadway marquee?

Or what about the frustrated adult who dreams of a career that inspires their heart and soul rather than simply pays their bills

We grow great by dreams - All big men are dreamers.

Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunlight, which comes always to those who hope that their dream will come true.

Your dream today determines your future tomorrow. Dream fuels destiny, no man has a future without a dream. It is your dream today that determines your future tomorrow. Joseph saw himself fulfilling destiny and nations bowing down to him at the mercies of his dreams.

I know of a group of middle ages who felt they were too old to dream and hope anymore.
It dawned on me that this small group was echoing sentiments probably felt by many, and certainly attributing to the pessimistic attitude we’ve adopted today. Believe me, I understand how life can be dawning at times- unfair and cruel even.

Going for gold is not always easy when the competition of everyday life can cause even the most motivated competitors to give up on their dreams. But the opportunity exists for all of us to claim victory, it a process and a principle. How far you see determines how far you can go, because the quality of a man’s dream equals the quality of a man’s life and destiny.

Everyone plays, some give up before even starting, and others will spend a lifetime trying to succeed.

I’ve had some successes in my life, but I thought at this time I’d be further along in my career, both financially and professionally, have a few written books under my belt and maybe even an award for my troubles.

Yes, they’re still dreams, there’s no reason I shouldn’t keep on hoping and dreaming that someday they just might come true. That’s the thing about dreams they never expire unless you let them. A man is not greater than the dreams that dominate his mind and thoughts.

I am aware that life can be a continual challenge filled with the unforeseen event we struggle to navigate through - no one is arguing that point, but the road can be made a little easier if you continue to foster the dreams that still beat on your heart.  One thing is sure no one is qualified to live if he has no dream for a living.

Big dreams have purposes, little dreams have fantasies. To dream big is to live big but many times they’re buried under the sea of responsibilities. Maybe it is time to simplify your life, to take a look in the mirror and remember what it was like to dream of the future.

Ask yourself, ‘‘is there anything I can do right now?’’ maybe it’s joining a local theatre group, enrol in college, and amateur sports group, taking a cooking class. It is never too late to take a hold of your future.

Reason to Dream Again

What can you do now, because life is not a chance it a choice, Dr David Oyedepo once said if you leave your life to chance you stand to have no chance. So why not start dreaming and hoping with the child-like naivety we all abandoned so many years ago?

Every great dream begins with a dreamer.

The emancipation proclamation, this momentous decree came as a great beacon of hope to millions of negro slave who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to the end the long night of their captivity, just by a man named Martin Luther King who took the responsibility to dream it and it walked for him.
